Hello, I'm second-year graudate student at University of Washington. I'm a data enthusiast with two years experience in data science and business intelligence. My professional skills include Data Warehousing, Data Mining, Statistical Modeling and Interactive Data Visualization. As Brian Krzanich said, "data is the new oil". Cat Adoption Website

This is a my information architecture coursework project. I defined the XML schema and org structures including cat breed hierarchies, alphabetical indexes, age sequences and color associations, then I finalized the pages with HTML and CSS.

Business Intelligence Solution Design on Sales Data

I used SSMS and SSIS to conduct ETL solutions, and then connect tableau to data from the data warehouse via SQL views. It contains the necessary Tableau dashboards to help the company improve sales performance.

Hot Spot Analysis on Seattle Emergency calls

This project used K-means and DBSCAN clustering methods to identify the hot spots locations of Seattle 911 calls.

Twitter Sentiment Analysis

I fetched real-time data from Twitter API, and calculated sentiment score for each tweet. Other interesting findings include the top 10 hashtags and the happiest U.S. state based on user location data.

I worked at the Business Intelligence & IT Dept in UW Facilities. I'm responsible for the collection, analysis and presentation of business data to improve academic space usage.

Business Analyst Intern

I made seven space metrics dashboards in Tableau to model current space usage by using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). I served as project consultant to Capital & Space Management team to construct logistic growth model to forecast enrollment number for the Provost’s Space Report project. I collated financial and enrollment records from the Enterprise Data Warehouse, a central repository of 5.2 billion records; extrapolated enrollment trends through next five years.

I worked at Accenture Consulting in Beijing. I assisted to build knowledge graph demos for digital power plants; used Excel to build schema and encode equipment information (340+ devices) into the equipment knowledge base. I collaborated with Accenture energy consulting team to improve electromechanical generators’ KPIs in Pu’an Power Plants. I also studied main functions, key values, features and benefits of industrial services, software and analytic models for the Predix Industrial IoT Platform in GE, and applied these services and analytic models in digital plants for Sinopec Group in China.
